Like Hillary needed any help from the Russians to look bad?
I think all this hype over “the Russians did it” is just to make people stop paying attention to the damning content of the released hacked emails.
It’s pretty pathetic all the way around.
The current regime wants to rekindle the Cold War so bad, and HRC was going to continue that if she had won.
Now that Trump is going to take office, they are trying very hard to sour relations with Russia as much as possible short of firing a military weapon at them.
That’s pretty much it. I don’t completely understand the geopolitics. Russia is enormous but their economy is about the size of Australia or Spain so I don’t get the need for a cold war. Maybe it’s a proxy for something else. If the United States had a rival that had a serious prospect of challenging it and replacing it as the world superpower, that would be China.
You are right about the Democrats mainly wanting to divert attention away from the content of the emails. They should be of great interest regardless of the source but by making the a product of Russian espionage the media have made them unpatriotic content. Better yet they have tarnished WikiLeaks as a respectable source for liberals to refer to. This I think is quite a victory (helped along somewhat by Assange’s own behaviour).
The key finding for me is that the “intelligence community” is transparently playing liberals for suckers and that the liberal media has adopted a post-truth business model similar to FOX news and the Murdoch press.

This won’t end until Hillary is given what is rightfully hers. She is now setting her sights on being the mayor of New York city. Watch as the Democrats drop another billion dollars only to see Lucky Fingers Capone, professional racist property developer and mobster get elected in a landslide.
