I don’t think Ridley Scott overcome excellence of Blade Runner, or he ever will. One more blow to Oscars, it had 2 nominations and picked up none.

This is a pretty spectacular journey into the typographical minutiae of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. You may recall the same blog did similar treatments of Alien and 2001.

I’m still struck by what this movie gets right and how so much of what was jarring and alien in the 80s is now so familiar. 

Scott and Syd Mead’s design vision remains breathtaking… even with the flying cars.

I’d watch it!

Of course Blade Runner was already deliberately and self-consciously made as a noir film even though it was shot in colour.
