Israel demonstrates once again that it’s a nasty little racist shithole that only a Nazi could love.

Aspects of AI:
1. Sentience
2. Unemployment
3. Control
It has always been the third aspect of AI that constitutes the greatest threat to humanity but people always only want to talk about the first one.
Sentience remains science fiction but you are already undergoing a process of surveillance, profiling and subjugation by the ruling elite.
Unemployment through work replacement is real too but this holds within it the promise of liberation as well as disaster. The way forward is determined by whether we can defeat aspect 3.

The Brexit vote, like every other vote, was mainly about choosing the flavour of misrepresentation by the ruling elite.
A slim majority of Britons voted for the misrule to be conducted by the very worst people in Britain. This came as a bit of a surprise because they were expected to vote in favour of misrule by the very worst people in Europe.
Great to see this open source project getting some attention despite not having the backing of a giant corporation like Facebook or Google. I’m a fan and (even more remarkably) a sponsor.
You don’t need no steenking Virtual Dom—or any framework junk actually—to do your single page application. Just use what JavaScript can already do out of the box, tagged template literals.

Awesome
Australian Aborigines were not farmers and yet they laboriously made bread from grass seeds which they baked under the coals of a camp fire.
The grains that grow naturally in the Middle East (wheat, barley, lentils etc) are much more nutritious and easier to gather than the Australian varieties. It should perhaps have been more surprising if pre-Neolithic people hadn’t made their own bread with them.
