I just came from a Centrist rally where the chant was “everything happens for a reason” and “nothing can be changed for the better”. Also “things are already great!”
The crowd of literally dozens of media commentators was electric.
Something makes me deeply sceptical about this story. A more plausible attacker would surely have punched him in the face, as is the traditional practice for dealing with Nazis.
How to read Hillary Clinton’s What Happened[???!!!]

“In literary terms, the book could be classed as a Mary Sue self-insertion fanfic. Reading What Happened induces a horrifying claustrophobia, the feeling of being pent up in a small room as someone delivers an unending lecture about how much better they are than everyone else.”
Good to see that other countries in the world know a lot more about what has already been done to Korea by the U.S., despite Trump acting like the country he represents are angelic and blame free! Perhaps the ordinary people of the U.S. need to import a president from abroad!
I think racism has a kind of Dunning-Kruger analogue. The least racist white people are, I think, the ones that admit that they still have a lot of work to do in addressing their own internalised racism. The most racist are the ones who don’t think they are racist at all and then immediately demostrate how racist they really are.
And then of course there are the Nazis who are aware of their own racism and joyously revel it. Honest I guess but seriously fuck those guys.

About 70 percent of respondents strongly agreed that people of different races should be “free to live wherever they choose” and that “all races are equal,” and 89 percent agreed that all races should be treated equally. At the same time, 31 percent of respondents said they strongly or somewhat agreed that the country needs to “protect and preserve its White European heritage,” while 34 percent strongly or somewhat disagreed and 29 percent said they neither agreed nor disagreed. Nearly a third of respondents failed to express support of interracial marriage—with 16 percent agreeing outright that “marriage should only be allowed between two people of the same race,” 14 percent neither agreeing nor disagreeing and four percent saying they didn’t know.
Stahp, America. Just stahp.
Please, AI Gods, just take over already. We humans suck.
Giving my informal response to a non-binding survey not run by the electoral commission to not induce the government to do anything it wasn’t wanting to do anyway.
Thanks to Tony Abbott and his band of paleo-conservative neanderthals for half-heartedly going through the motions of opposition purely for the sake of delaying the inevitable.
