The right-wing misinformation complex is busy attempting to spin a narrative that establishes a false equivalence between the neo-nazi alt-right and “antifa”, or the “violent left”. Don’t fall for it — the “violent left” as some kind of organized movement is a myth. This is why Trump condemned “all sides” instead of calling out the true culprits of violence (the alt-right) in Charlottesville. He’s playing into this narrative so that he doesn’t have to assume any culpability in legitimizing the alt-right movement, and it’s absolutely disgusting.
