Well, you can’t put it much more plainly than that.
So naturally all eyes now turn to the Isle of Sark to see what they will do.
These chests of drawers really are unsafe.
The so-called safety mechanism is a wire you’re supposed to attach from the back of the unit to the wall behind to prevent it from falling over. This is needed because these units is intrinsically unbalanced with too high a centre of gravity and too small a base. Without the safety wire, they are an accident just waiting to happen.
What percent of purchasers have actually attached this wire? I’m willing to bet not all that many.
