Great insights from mathew murphy. Come on, Google, you could do so much better if you lose the Microsoft/Apple mindset and build great things with open standards.
So, how about it Google? Ready to build something people want, rather than something engineers or management want to build?
You’ll put an eye out with that thing.

Tipping is always about an exercise of power rather than appreciation.
I’d rather see prices rise so that waiting staff were paid better and not so dependent on tips but in places where tipping is an entrenched part of the system, it’s a simple fact: non-tippers are freeloaders.
This smug arsehole thinks he is within his rights to ‘splain the reasons why he is a freeloader and a douche. In the process he will get known as one and will get less service as a result.

The person who left this card is a fucking douchecanoe of epic proportions.
Look, it doesn’t matter if you agree with tipping or not or if you think minimum wage should exist or be raised or not. When you eat in restaurants in certain cultures, tipping is expected and part of the fair transaction. If you don’t like that, fucking stay home and cook and clean for yourself.
But even worse than not tipping is leaving a passive-aggressive, whiny-ass piece of shit card like this.
Pretty much if you think leaving this card in lieu of a tip is okay, decircle me, block me, fuck off, and go rot in your own socially inept hellscape because I want nothing to do with you.
PS If you are from a culture where tipping is not expected, that’s fine but you can really save yourself the time of any smug, “We do it better here so I don’t have to tip neener neener” comments. The fact is in the US – where this occurred – this is the culture and sneering at it pretty much puts you in league with the wrong side of this.
I remember this filth.
