Gotta agree about the voice-over. Scott removed it in the Director’s Cut.

In some ways it was dull, many of Ridley Scott’s films are dull, and yet it had so many elements that were new and amazing that this film has drawn me back again and again.

Maybe other Scott films are sleepers like that. I doubt it though.
